CWIS Research Submission Process and Instructions

The CWIS Research program is under the direction of the CWIS Research Committee. Approved studies submitted through the CWIS Research program are endorsed by the Chest Wall Injury Society (CWIS).

The main goal of the CWIS Research program is to facilitate the design and execution of multicenter projects. In this capacity the CWIS Multicenter Research Committee enables researchers to collaborate with other centers, and especially encourages the participation of organizations including other CWIS members.

If a proposed study is accepted by the CWIS Research Committee as a CWIS-approved study and reaches publication, PIs are strongly encouraged to have the words "CWIS Research" in the title or subtitle of the manuscript.  If this is not done, it is requested a reason is provided to CWIS (such as: insufficient character allowance in the title for a given journal) prior to submission for publication.

If a proposed study is accepted by the CWIS Research Committee as a CWIS-approved study and reaches presentation, PIs are strongly encouraged to have the words "CWIS" in the title or subtitle of the presentation, and use the CWIS-branded logo provided at endorsement.  If this is not done, it is requested a reason is provided to CWIS (such as: insufficient character allowance in the title for a given planner) prior to the activity.
