2019 Chest Wall Injury Summit
March 28 - March 30, 2019
The 2019 Chest Wall Injury Society annual meeting features a highly collaborative and cutting-edge exploration of current operative, and non-operative, approaches to chest wall trauma. Shared experiences and expertise of surgeons from around the world provide a unique educational experience. Ongoing and future research to optimize the care of patients with chest wall injury will be presented.

Research review & international database kick-off in the Casa de Espana
(These sessions will be open to all attendees and we think they will be can't-miss items so please book your travel such that you can be in Santa Fe by mid-day Thursday if possible.)
Thursday evening:
Join us for delicious Dining & Discourse at local favorite restaurants. During registration, please check out the available topics and select which one you would like to attend - details regarding the specific restaurant will be provided in your registration confirmation later.
Join your fellow attendees in roundtable fashion as we enjoy some of Santa Fe's finest foods and discuss topics such as:

- Complex chest wall reconstruction
- Intra thoracic rib fixation
- Sternal fixation
- Minimally invasive techniques for rib fixation
- Product Failures & Prevention

This year's agenda will include even more time for cases and oral presentations - and will introduce the roll of invited discussants. The parameters for abstracts will be posted soon, so keep an eye on this site and the President's newsletter for more information.

We have planned some spectacular local events for you to select from and enjoy, including local hiking/trails, the Georgia O'Keefe museum, a hands-on cooking class at the Santa Fe Cooking School, a food tour with a local foodie going around downtown, spa time at the Thousand Waves Spa, and more! Saturday:
Another day of awesome!
This will be a full day of learning, discussions, lively debate, and more. We will hear from our 2018 President, Dr. Fred Pieracci as he passes the CWIS-baton (baseball) to our 2019 President, Dr. Adam Shiroff. Additionally, awards will be presented to selected recipients. (Nomination information to follow)
Saturday evening:
This year we will be having a final send-off in Santa Fe fashion with a Mexican Masquerade. The evening will include costumes and a costume contest, dancing, a local band, delicious food & libations, and more.
We hope all attendees, spouses/significant others, industry members, etc will join us for an evening of fun, friendship, and festivity as we close out the 2019 CWISummit in style.
